Looking and feeling healthy

Looking good and feeling healthy, does not only mean focusing on the conditioning of one’s body, it also entails mental and emotional well-being which we unfortunately often neglect and overlook. 

The body, mind and emotions, even the spiritual realm all form a symbiotic system to strengthen and support each other to create perfect balance and harmony. It is so important therefore, while taking care of the body,  to nurture the mind, emotions, and spirit towards a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

Eating healthy doesn’t have to mean giving up deliciousness or missing out in one way or the other. With the increasing rate of obesity and diabetes in adults and even young children, being conscious about one’s diet is no longer a matter of choice, but a must.

After due research and consulting with several nutrition experts, the Happysimus nutrition team shows you that adopting a healthy lifestyle in your diet can be fun at the same time delicious. Therefore, we adopted a diet based on the theory of colors which incorporates the added benefits of activating one’s senses (sight, taste and smell). It involves mixing vegetables, fruits, vegetables with different shades and textures.  In essence, this accomplishes the goal of a healthy Mediterranean-style diet, with an abundant supply of essential vitamins and minerals. 

 The challenge is to make your diet and meal as colorful as possible with different vegetables and legumes combined with, nuts,  fish oils, and omega fats to provide a balanced diet rich in minerals, vitamins and proteins necessary for the correct and proper functioning of the body.

Below is a list of the 5 fundamental colors for a healthy and balanced diet, and the benefits they bring to your health. It is not necessary to put all 5 colors on your plate at the same time, but aim for at least 3 during each meal.
